What does the word communication mean to you?
Does it mean getting your point across? Does it mean feeling heard? Does it mean listening? Does it mean being vulnerable? Does it mean mutual understanding?
Communication is a vast landscape where a lot of our challenges as people having to live together, parent together or work together could potentially be eased or avoided, if we knew how to communicate with one another more effectively.
Do you often feel misunderstood or unheard in your interactions? Does the tension or resent build up when things are left unsaid? Do your conversations go around in circles and never seem to get anywhere positive? How would things look if your communication and interactions with the ones around you were more effective? How is that even possible?
It all starts with conscious communication, meaning learning how to communicate with more awareness of ourselves and others. Some of the things to consider might be, what is your intention for trying to communicate something in a moment? (eg- for what purpose?)
Is it functional (eg- is it true, helpful, necessary and for the greater good) or dysfunctional (eg- coming from fear or ego driven such as the need to be right, to win, to judge, to look good, to get even or to justify)? Is what you’re wanting to communicate a one way conversation, or can it be an open discussion? How can I be a better listener? How can I listen with non-judgement and complete presence in that moment? Can I open up and be vulnerable about what I’m wanting to communicate? Do I feel safe enough to be vulnerable? If not, how do I change that? How can I communicate what I’m wanting to say in a way that the person/people will understand me effectively? Does the responsibility lie with the communicat-'or' to express themselves clearly, or with the communicat-'ee' to understand them?
There are so many layers to effective and conscious communication, especially when we look at other differences people have such as behavioural styles, love languages, core needs and masculine/feminine energies.
In our Conscious Communication information session we explore the many differences in ourselves and each other to create a deeper understanding of how and why we communicate the way we do, which will ultimately bring us closer together.
The information and simple tools we share with you apply to all your relationships, not just romantic ones but parenting relationships, friendships, work relationships and our relationship with ourselves. How could your life benefit from more effective communication? If you would like to be notified of the next session dates and more details, please email us.

We are thrilled to have Kaye Greenwood (Midwife and Lactation Consultant) joining us to facilitate this introductory workshop for pregnant women and their partners:
- Understanding the art of breastfeeding
Breastfeeding is the natural way to feed your baby and it provides immediate and long-term benefits for the whole family so getting it right from the start leads to less stress for mother and baby.
This session covers the basics, such as how breastfeeding works, getting started, how to get the latch right from that first feed, the first few days and weeks at home, what is normal sleep for a breastfeed baby, plus plenty of time to ask questions.
Session time: 2 hours (information and question time)
Session cost: $40 per session
We understand that there is so much to learn when one becomes a parent and it's easy to feel overwhelmed by all the questions that arise.
We are currently working hard behind the scenes to bring you a range of sessions to assist you from planning through to parenthood.
Stay tuned for more updates!Get In Touch
